A major repaving project is underway at Florence American Cemetery. Beginning January 18th 2016, the South side gate to the cemetery will be closed. Cemetery visitors will be required to use the North side gate as the primary entrance during this time.

ABMC has determined that the Commission has sufficient prior year funds to continue operating in the event of a U.S. Government shutdown this week.

On Veterans Day ABMC sites paid tribute to the men and women buried and memorialized overseas.

On December 7, 2015 renovation work will begin on six Wall of the Missing panels at Brittany American Cemetery. During this time, the panels will be completely removed. The names that will not be viewable during this time period include Pvt. Elmer S.

The memorial area at Oise-Aisne American Cemetery is currently undergoing maintenance work. Visitors will still have full access to the chapel, and memorial area, but due to scaffolding and other equipment needed for the work the visual aspect of the area will be impacted during this time.

Horticulture work along with the resurfacing of some pathways and roadways is currently underway at Cambridge American Cemetery. While the work does require areas to be temporarily cordoned off to ensure visitor safety,  impact to the visitor is mostly visual.
