Joint ABMC/WWI Centennial Commission Photo Exhibit Opens in Pershing Park

Tomorrow marks the ceremonial groundbreaking for the national World War I Memorial in Washington, D.C. To coincide with this event in Pershing Park, a joint American Battle Monuments Commission/World War I Centennial Commission photo exhibit is also available to view through December 8, 2017. Titled “Fields of Battle—Lands of Peace,” photographer Michael St. Maur Sheil, joined today with other key members of the World War I commemoration community in Pershing Park to mark the opening of this exhibit. Originally displayed at the National World War I Museum in Kansas City, this traveling photography exhibit has come to Washington, D.C. for the next month.
