Facebook Live: Exploring Memorial Day 1919 at Temporary, American Military Cemeteries in Europe
On Tuesday, May 16 at 1 p.m. eastern the American Battle Monuments Commission hosted its first Facebook live chat. In the aftermath of World War I, President Woodrow Wilson and General of the Armies John J. Pershing each attended Memorial Day ceremonies in 1919 at temporary American cemeteries in Europe.
