Sergeant Winbush was a medic with the Medical Company, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was wounded while tending his wounded comrades in North Korea on February 24, 1952 and returned to duty on March 5, 1952. He died of other causes in Korea on May 11, 1952.
