Warrant Officer, First Class Trudeau was a member of 68th Aviation Company, 52nd Aviation Battalion, 17th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade. On October 26, 1971, he was the pilot of a Boeing Chinook Cargo Handling Helicopter (CH-47B) flying administrative missions. When the aircraft was near Nha Trang, South Vietnam radio contact was lost. His remains were not recovered.

Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, the remains of Warrant Officer First Class Albert Raymond Trudeau were accounted for in 2024. His name is permanently inscribed on the “Courts of the Missing” at the Honolulu Memorial.
