Notes
Corporal Trivelpiece was a machine gunner with the 3rd Platoon, Company E, 3rd Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. On April 4, 1968, he aboard a Navy armored troop carrier, landing in Hien Hoa Province, South Vietnam. After landing he was setting up his machine gun, when he was struck by enemy fire and killed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
