Lance Corporal Tice was a member of Company F, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division. On September 24, 1966, he was killed while fighting the enemy by artillery fire in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
