Sergeant First Class Tabor was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy at the Pusan Perimeter near Pongam-ni in South Korea on August 10, 1950.
