Captain St. Pierre was a member of the 433rd Tactical Fighter Squadron. On May 22, 1968, he was the pilot of a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4D) on a mission over North Vietnam, when his aircraft was shot down. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
