Notes
Captain Simpson was a member of the 6th Fighter Squadron. On August 28, 1962, he was the pilot of a North American Trojan Aircraft (T-28B) on a mission over Sa Xuyen, South Vietnam, when the aircraft was hit by hostile fire and crashed into a swamp. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
