Seaman Rogers was a crew member of the Aircraft Carrier USS RANGER (CVA-61). On December 1, 1969, he fell overboard and drowned in the South China Sea. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
