Notes
Arthur Putnam was born in Spring Water, New York in 1862. He enlisted as a Private at Mohak, New York on May 2, 1898 and served as a wagoner with Company G. 2nd New York Volunteers during the Spanish- American War. He married and moved to Panama working as a carpenter for the Engineering and Construction Division, Isthmus Canal Company. He lived at Gorgona, Canal Zone for two months. He died on November 18, 1905, was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
