Aviation Machinist's Mate Airman Pfeifer was a member of the crew of the aircraft carrier, USS ANTIETAM (CV-36). On November 4, 1951, a landing F4U-4 Corsair fighter jumped the barriers and crashed into parked aircraft. The pilot and three crew members were killed.
