Notes
Ensign Patterson, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Heavy Attack Squadron 4, U.S. Navy. On July 27, 1967, he was a crew member of a Tanker Aircraft (KA-3B) about 200 miles due east of the Demilitarized Zone when his aircraft developed difficulties and he had to parachute from the plane into the sea. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
