Notes
Major Moore was a member of the 469th Tactical Fighter Squadron. On September 3, 1967, he was the pilot of a Thunderchief Fighter (F-105D) on a mission 10 miles northeast of Dong Bai Dinh, Quang Binh Province, North Vietnam, when his aircraft was shot down by hostile fire. He ejected safely but contact with him was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
