Major Miller was a member of the 56th Special Operations Wing. On August 28, 1968, he was the pilot of a North American Trojan Trainer (T-28D) on a mission over Laos, when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
