Notes
Major McDaniel was a member of the 772nd Tactical Airlift Squadron. On April 26, 1968, he was a crew member of a Lockheed Hercules Transport Aircraft (C-130B) on a mission over A Shau Valley, Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam, when his aircraft received ground fire and crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
