Notes
Ensign Martin was the pilot of a F-4U4 Corsair fighter with Fighter Squadron 24 aboard the carrier USS VALLEY FORGE (CV-45). On February 7, 1951, on takeoff from the carrier deck, his plane crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
