Notes
Sergeant First Class Lynch was of Cherokee Indian heritage. In Korea, he was a member of Battery C, 38th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded and taken prisoner by the enemy near Kunu-ri, North Korea on November 30, 1950. He died as a prisoner on March 31, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
