Captain Kroske was a member of the Command and Control Detachment. 5th Special Forces Group. On February 11, 1969, his patrol was engaged with the enemy 12 miles inside the Cambodian border west of Bu Dop, when he was wounded. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
