Lieutenant Commander Jordan, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Heavy Attack Squadron 4, aboard the aircraft carrier USS KITTY HAWK (CVA-63). On April 12, 1966, he was a crew member of a Tanker Aircraft (KA-3B) enroute from Cubi Point Naval Air Station, Philippines to the carrier. The aircraft was shot down by the Chinese. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
