Notes
Lieutenant Colonel Held was a member of the 604th Air Commando Squadron. On April 17, 1968, he was the pilot of a Cessna Dragonfly Attack Aircraft (A-37A) on a combat mission 10 miles east of Bo Duc, Phuoc Long Province, South Vietnam, when his aircraft was hit by ground fire forcing him to eject. He landed safely, but contact with him was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
