Notes
Major Hawkins was a member of the 67th Tactical Fighter Squadron. On September 20, 1965, he was the pilot of a Thunderchief Fighter (F-105D) on a mission over North Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
