Second Lieutenant Hall was a the navigator of a B-26B Invader bomber with the 37th Bomber Squadron, 17th Bomber Wing, stationed at Airfield K-9, Pusan, South Korea. On January 13, 1953, shortly after take off from Pusan, his aircraft crashed into the sea and exploded, killing all three on board. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
