Donald Gilbert was a 50 year old married American, working for the Audition Division, Panama Railroad and lived in Colon for four years. He died on January 28, 1911 at the Colon Hospital. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
