Captain Garrison was a crew member of a B-29A Superfortress Bomber with the 370th Bomber Squadron, 307th Bomber Wing. On November 8, 1952, while on a night bombing mission, his aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed. His remains were not recovered.
