Lieutenant Colonel Fullam was a member of the 67th Tactical Fighter Squadron. On October 7, 1967, he was the pilot of a Thunderchief Fighter (F-105D) on a strike mission about 30 miles north-northeast of Haiphong, North Vietnam, when his plane was shot down. His remains were recovered on September 24, 1987 and identified on December 4, 1987. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
