Lieutenant Fraser was the pilot of a Douglas 'Skyraider" all weather attack jet aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT (CVA-42). On May 6, 1953, while practicing take offs and landings about 100 miles east of Atlantic City, New Jersey, his aircraft plunged into the Atlantic Ocean killing him.
