Ora Moore Ewing was born in Gilmer, West Virginia on October 3, 1879. He married Winifred Enola Craddock on August 14, 1907 at Gilmer, West Virginia. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant with the 2nd West Virginia Regiment during the Spanish-American War. After the war he moved to Panama. He died on June 6, 1958 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery next to his wife, Winifred.
