Notes
Lance Corporal Evancho was a member of Marine Air Base Squadron 36, Marine Air Group 36, 1st Marine Air Wing. On March 28, 1968, he was a passenger in a Sikorsky Seahorse Utility Helicopter (UH-34D) being evacuated for medical treatment, when the aircraft crashed into the South China Sea about three miles from Da Nang, South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
