Lieutenant Albert E. K. Ellis was born in the United States on July 2, 1895. He was commissioned in the U.S. Navy and served during World War I as a Lieutenant, Aviation, aboard the Battleship "USS MISSISSIPPI" (BB-44). He died on July 25, 1919 from an aircraft crash and was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
