Staff Sergeant Dudley was born in Panama City, Panama. On January 6, 1995, he enlisted as an Armor Crewman in the U.S. Army. He advanced to Platoon Sergeant and was assigned to Alpha Troop, 1st Battalion, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment and deployed to Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom. He was wounded when the helicopter he was riding in was shot down by an enemy missile. His last assignment was the U.S. Noncommissioned Officers' Academy at Ft. Knox, Kentucky living with his wife, Marisol Omayra Dudley on base. On October 5, 2005, he died from heart failure during the Army Physical Fitness Test at the Ireland Army Community Hospital. He was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery. Staff Sergeant Dudley was awarded the Purple Heart, the Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Award with Oak Leaf Cluster and many other awards.
