Mildred Ella Droste was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 25, 1906. She married John Droste and in January, 1947, she moved with him to the Canal Zone so that he could work as an Automotive Machinist, Motor Transport Division, Atlantic Side, Panama Canal Company. She died on April 22, 1960 and was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
