Alejandro De La Cruz was born in the Philippines on October 16, 1900. He immigrated to the United States and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving as a Chief Steward. He became a naturalized citizen. After retirement he lived in Panama City. He died on May 20, 1985 at the Panama City Hospital and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
