John Raymond De Grummond was born in Washington, District of Columbia on August 21, 1883. He married Cherry Rob De Grummond. He moved to Ancon, Canal Zone to work as Chief Commissary Account, Accounting Department, Panama Canal Commission around 1906. Upon retirement he moved to Los Angeles, California about 1935. He died on February 4, 1945 in North Hollywood, California and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery on April 23, 1945.
