Andrew L. De Boer was born in Holland on March 5, 1900. He immigrated to the United states and became a naturalized citizen. He was serving as a seaman on board the ship "SS KAPASIA". He died on February 29, 1953 from severe arteriosclerosis heart disease aboard the ship in Gatun Lake. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
