John Milton Davis was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky on January 26, 1883. He married Laura Agnes Smith on September 1, 1910. They moved to Panama so that John could work as a Policeman for the Panama Canal Company. He became Balboa District Police Commander from 1940 to 1945. John enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1945 and served as a Sergeant with the 45th Coast Artillery Regiment. He returned to the Panama Canal Company and worked until retirement. He died at the Gorgas Army Hospital on March 4, 1959 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
