Zelda C. Dare was born in Los Angeles, California on June 16, 1913. She married David Hunter Dare and they moved to the Canal Zone so that David could work for the Panama Canal Company. She died on November 24, 1954 at the Coco Solo Hospital. She was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then re-interred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979 near her husband David.
