Eloise Amanda Cumberbatch was born in Barbados, British West Indies on May 7, 1891. In 1913, She moved to Panama to find work. She married Joseph Cumberbatch, a Machinist for the Panama Canal Company. They had two children. She died on May 31, 1974 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
