Robert Charles Crompton was born in England on April 27, 1840. He was appointed the British Vice-Consul at Colon, Panama. He died on December 23, 1884 and was honored by a monument at the Mt. Hope cemetery, which was moved to Section F, Row 14, Grave 28, Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
