Charles T. Cores was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1866. He moved to Panama to work as a machinist with Engineering & Construction Division, Isthmus Canal Company. He lived at Cristobal, Panama for six months. He had lived in the tropics for ten years. He died on March 18, 1906. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
