Clifford Harvey Copeland was born in Arcata, California on January 21, 1891. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War I and served as a seaman. After the war he was employed as a pump operator for U.S. Navy in Panama. He died on November 16, 1952 at Cristobal, Canal Zone. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
