Notes
Robert Commings was born in Brdud, Poland on November 5, 1896. He immigrated to the United States in March 1905 and settled in St. Louis, Missouri. During World War I, he enlisted in the Army as a Private and was assigned to the 10th Signal Company, U.S. Army. He was naturalized on April 8, 1920 and moved to Panama on July 1920. He was employed as a steward for the Panama Canal Company. After retirement he continued to live in Panama. He died at Gorgas Hospital on July 29, 1968 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
