Sergeant First Class Colon-Fonseca was a Light Weapons Platoon Sergeant in Company L, 3rd Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on January 31, 1951 and died of those wounds the following day.
