Private James V. Cole was an American. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Private in the 33rd Infantry Regiment, Camp Otis, Canal Zone during World War I. He was en-route to 33rd Infantry Regiment on board the troop transport USAT Kilpatrick when he died on May 2, 1917. He was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
