Max Cohen was born on August 12, 1866 in Berlin, Germany. He emigrated to the United States is 1875 and became a naturalized citizen on October 22, 1890 by marriage to Rose Cohen. In September 22, 1919 he moved to Colon Panama. He died on January 22, 1937. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
