Mary Ann Boland was born on October 16, 1873 at Erie, Pennsylvania. She married Michael J. Cody on January 19,1897 at Renovo, Pennsylvania and moved with Michael to Balboa, Canal Zone where he worked as a molder for the Isthmian Canal Commission. She died on October 1, 1947 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
