Merton Coburn was born on March 12, 1888 at Arkport, New York. He married Mary Julia Alvarado on May 20, 1925. He worked for the Panama Canal Company until retirement. He died on October 16, 1968 and is buried at the Corozal American Cemetery next to his wife, Mary.
