W. S. Clinton was born in Colorado in 1870. He moved to Panama and worked as proprietor of the City of Mexico Hotel, Panama. He was a non- Isthmus Canal Company employee. He died on September 4, 1909 at the Ancon Hospital. He was buried at the Ancon Cemetery. He was reinterred at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in 1914, then re-interred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
