Jens Peter Christiansen was born in Denmark on December 24, 1883. He immigrated to the United States on 1905 and worked for the American Cyanamide Company in Brewster, Florida. He was naturalized on August 1, 1912. In 1919, he moved to the Canal Zone where he worked as a saloon keeper. He died on January 3, 1939 at the Gorgas Hospital and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
